ROK and DiversityJobs.co.uk form Alliance to Deliver ROKTalk Website Accessibility Software

Leading multi-language text to speech provider ROKTalk, part of mobile and web technology development company ROK Global PLC, has partnered with Diversityjobs.co.uk, the UK’s largest Diversity and Inclusivity-focused careers website, to deliver ROKTalk, designed to dramatically enhance the accessibility and usability of websites, to new customers.
“We developed ROKTalk not just as a very useful and worthwhile business tool for all website owners but also because there is a clear moral obligation and, under the Equalities Act in the UK and the Americans with Disabilities Act in the US, an increasing requirement for organisations to ensure their websites are as accessible as possible for all people, regardless of their abilities.” Said Jonathan Kendrick, Chairman and CEO of ROK Global.
DiversityJobs.co.uk has already begun deploying ROKTalk to organisations such as the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) and is currently integrating the service onto Barclays Bank, The Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) and the Employers Forum on Disability (EFD) websites.
Managing Director of DiversityJobs, Morgan Lobb, said “We chose ROKTalk for our clients because it is the very best text to speech solution available to provide accessibility requirements for website owners, a requirement which 75% of FTSE 100 businesses have so far failed to address.”
ROK Global PLC, listed on the Open Market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, was co-founded by US Billionaire John Paul DeJoria, the co-founder of Paul Mitchell hair care systems and Patron Tequila and UK serial technology entrepreneur, Jonathan Kendrick.
In addition to ROKTalk, ROK has pioneered the development of several innovative mobile and web technologies including high quality Mobile TV which streams video over mass-market 2.5G GPRS as well as 3G and Wi-Fi and mobile-phone security and policing software which it licenses to law enforcement agencies.
“Our clients want to comply with accessibility requirements and they demand the most effective technology in terms of speed to delivery and usability. No other product, apart from ROKTalk, provides barrier-free text to speech across many languages with adjustable contrast and font size changes in one, simple-to-install, package.” Added Lobb.
